Create a study

Studies are a smaller type of container in this system. Studies contain groups of notes with highlights, and insights.

The difference between a project and a study? There are a few:

  • A project starts with a need for research that will possibly need several studies to complete. Example: You start a project to find out why people don’t use a particular feature. You run three studies: a survey to find participants who ignore the feature, a contextual inquiry to see how they work, and finally a user test to see whether your changes have helped people or not.
  • A project takes longer than a study.
  • A project contains tags but no notes. The idea is to take notes in several studies and tag them with (some of) the same tags.
  • A project has a pool of participants. A study uses (= works with) some of those participants.
  • A study contains notes and files but no tags. It uses the tags of the project to tag the notes. When you create a new tag while highlighting a note, the tag will be added to the project, not the study. the reason? You can re-use the same tags in the next study.

About us

Our goal is to help companies improve their products.

We give you a tool that shortens the way from research to design decision: Collect evidence about your users’ behavior, make observations about it, mark the observations with tags and let the machine help your team discover recurring patterns. Grasp insights easily because you clearly see what bothers your users and what delights them.

We make it simple for product developers to get to testable new ideas, concepts, and products for their target market so that they can avoid dead ends and keep building products that their customers want.

Our tool helps to make UX findings transparent. The clarity, transparency, and focus allow teams to collaborate with less friction and produce great results.
